I've made it to Bangkok! I'm tired and really want to sleep but am trying to keep myself up as long as possible... I don't really want to be up at 3am because i went to bed too early. My flights were fine. From Seattle to Taipei I sat next to a nice man,we both slept most of the time and for my flight from Taipei to Bangkok the seat next to me was empty. Sleeping pills are a wonderful thing I was happy to have them. While I was at the Taipei airport walking around I had two people come up and ask me if i knew how to find their gate... I'm not sure how helpful I was and I had no clue why they would ask me.
Being in Bangkok is quite an experience mostly because I am by myself and am scared to venture out on my own. I have walked down the main road that I am staying at, sat at the pool and have read... but really I just want to sleep. I knew that I would have to venture out and meet people but this is where the part of me that is introverted takes over and i become very shy.
It's hard to describe what Bangkok feels like to me. Driving from the airport was long and reminded me of older parts of Hawaii. Were I am staying (khaosan road sp) is most like Malaysia or Chinatown in Singapore. All of my senses are on overload and it is hard to take everything in. I am very much overwhelmed - and when i get overwhelmed I got into tears mode... which isn't great. Oh, it's nice an muggy on top of everything. Stand still and you will sweat. It's great.
I moved from reading by the pool to get on the Internet again because it is just about to pour and thunder lighting and everything. I can hear the thunder but the rain hasn't started yet. Oh, no, the rain is coming down nice and hard.
I'm sitting at the Internet cafe at the top of my hotel... and the ceiling is leaking... it's a nice touch for a room filled with electronics.Tomorrow I need to go to the train station and get my ticket to Nong Khai. There will be more walking around and exploring.
I love you all and miss you so much.

Good to hear you are all safe and sound. I know things will be a bit less overwhelming soon! I'm thinking about you!
yaaay! you made it! :) Did you manage to get your ticket alright? Hopefully things went smoothly today, with less thunderstorms and lots of exciting places to visit. I love you tons and tons! Have fun tomorrow! --kt
